This is a recording of an all hardware performance I did in my living room at the beginning of the COVID lockdown in March 2020.
It includes new versions of pieces that appear on some of my older tapes, including bits that I’ve never attempted to perform live before, as well as a load of completely new material.
I used the following equipment:
Yamaha PSS-460 - found flytipped on my estate
Suzuki Omnichord OM-300 - ancient birthday gift
Boss Giga Delay - probably my fanciest bit of kit but completely wasted on me
Boss Space Echo - never liked for guitar but wild on everything else
Digitech Whammy Wah - for girth
Digitech Whammy V - for harmonies
Behringer Digital Delay - does weird things boss pedals wouldn’t dare to
EH Holy Grail - smooths over my mistakes
Volca Beats - all drum stuff was sequenced on and played through this
Sony radio cassette player covered in plaster - feat. Tape recordings of me playing my sisters piano, Capital FM and AM radio static.
Everything was put through a couple of mixers and an outboard compressor and recorded live into cubase for some gentle mastering. Didn’t do any overdubs if you care about that sort of thing.
Listening to this album makes me want to share it with the entire apartment complex. Open the windows, crank the stereo to maximum volume, and give the entire neighborhood AURAL SALVATION BY FORCE! I would play this on repeat until everyone has lost their minds and become my slaves. This noise creeps, motherfuckers! You cannot resist! Sara will liberate you from your boring lives! dharmalogos
